Taapsee Pannu Reveals Paparazzi ‘Push And Press The Buttons’ For Clickbait Videos; Actress Says, ‘I’m Allowed To Have A Life Beyond My Work’
Actress Taapsee Pannu has often made her boundaries regarding the paparazzi culture in India clear. Being one of the most sought-after actresses of her generation, she never minces her words while expressing her views. Often termed as ‘a younger version of Jaya Bachchan’ for not entertaining the paparazzi when they bombard her during an outing, she has yet again opened up about the same. She shed light on how she can’t act like a dumb person and giggle when paps ask her personal questions or try to push her buttons as they want to capture her reactions.

In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Taapsee spoke about being subjected to trolling for her ‘overreaction’ towards the shutterbags, who click her photos and videos when she is out and about the city. Explaining how people often perceive her as difficult, while she is just being her real self, she stated that paps just “push and press the buttons of all celebrities,” to get clickbait photos and captions for their social media pages. The Haseen Dillruba actress stated how it makes her feel uncomfortable. ALSO READ: Akshay Kumar-Taapsee Pannu’s Comedy Caper Khel Khel Mein Gets A Release Date! Movie To Release On September 6

Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she added, “As a pap, if you talk to me, and I’ll have a conversation, but if you press my buttons saying, “Your last film didn’t work, how does it feel?’ or ‘Itni der se khade hain, photo to de do’, then I’m not going to indulge you. There needs to be mutual respect.” ALSO READ: Taapsee Pannu Blushes In Her First Public Appearance After Wedding With Mathias Boe As Paps Ask 'Sir Nahi Aaye?' - WATCH

The 36-year-old actress went on to state that she can’t be ‘Lajvanti,’ someone who tries to be overly submissive and sweet with the paparazzi that they only laugh and act dumb when asked weird questions.

Concluding her point, the Thapad actress stated, “If you shove the camera in my face without my consent at places where I’m not in professional capacity, it's not fair to expect me to be suddenly entertaining you. I feel I am allowed to have a life beyond my work as an entertainer, too.”

On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Haseen Dillruba 2 alongside Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal. She also has Khel Khel Mein, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, and Pragya Jaiswal in her pipeline.
